Your donation will help us build Black Map Mural, create new black murals and creative projects. Our mission is to commission black artists to create murals across our city and beyond to create public representation and artist development. Together, we can make a difference.

Black Mural Map was created after noticing how often murals featuring Black people or created by Black artists went undocumented, unpromoted, and unseen beyond their neighborhoods. What began as a simple way to discover murals during the pandemic has grown into an evolving archive of Black creativity in public space.
Public art tells the story of a city. Black Mural Map exists to celebrate those stories, highlight the artists behind them, and make it easier for communities to experience the power of Black art in the places we live every day.
Explore the map, take a self-guided mural tour, capture a photo, and discover the artists shaping our cultural landscape.
Black Mural Map continues to grow as new murals are created and new artists emerge. Our goal is to document murals, uplift Black muralists, and support the creation of future public art projects.
We are also expanding collaborations with artists, organizations, and communities in other cities to grow the map across Florida and beyond.
If you know of a mural that should be included, or if you are interested in collaborating, we would love to hear from you.
You can help grow the Black Mural Map by sharing the project, telling us about murals in your community, and supporting future mural initiatives.
Community knowledge is what keeps the map alive.
One of the best parts of discovering a mural is sharing the moment.
If you visit a mural from the Black Mural Map, take a photo and tag @blackmuralmap on Instagram using #blackmuralmap so we can celebrate your discovery and continue highlighting Black creativity in public spaces.
